We are proud to offer advanced programs such as MPhil and PhD in Pharmacology, which are meticulously structured to encourage high-level research and academic excellence. In addition, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of MPhil and PhD programs in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Practice. Our unique BS in Cosmetic Sciences program is another highlight, setting us apart as one of the few institutions offering such a specialized undergraduate course. Department of Cosmetic Sciences

The Department of Cosmetic Sciences is a relatively new entity under the umbrella of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Salim Habib University. This department focuses on establishing the segment of cosmetics and personal well-being on scientific principles and developing dynamic and dedicated professionals through subject study, development, and innovation in the field of cosmetics and personal care.

As a leader in cosmetic education and research, our department is committed to advancing the science and practice of cosmetics to meet the evolving needs of the beauty industry and society at large. Cosmetic Sciences rest at the intersection of Chemistry, Biology, and Aesthetics, offering a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses various aspects of cosmetic formulation, product safety, regulatory compliance, and marketing strategies. Our faculty is comprised of experienced professionals and researchers who bring a rich knowledge and expertise, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. Department of Pharmacy Practice

The Department of Pharmacy Practice is committed to equip students with foundational knowledge and skills essential for effective patient care and medication management. The curriculum of the Department of Pharmacy Practice highlights the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare, concentrating on clinical pharmacy, therapeutic decision-making, and effective patient communication. Through a blend of classroom instruction, hands-on experiences, and collaborative practice opportunities, we aim to cultivate competent practitioners who can adapt to the evolving healthcare landscape.

Department of Pharmacognogsy

The Department of Pharmacognosy is dedicated to providing students with a foundational understanding of natural products and their applications in medicine. Our curriculum covers essential topics such as the identification, extraction, and analysis of plant-derived compounds, as well as their therapeutic properties. Through a combination of theoretical coursework and hands-on laboratory experience, students will explore the significance of herbal medicines, phytochemistry, and pharmacological effects. The aim of our teaching faculty is to equip future pharmacists with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate natural products into modern healthcare practices effectively.

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry aims to provide a foundational knowledge of chemistry, with a stepwise integration of advanced, research-based knowledge related to the discovery and development of new drugs. The curriculum integrates fundamental concepts with advanced knowledge, ensuring that students not only grasp essential theories but also apply them in practical settings. Department of Pharmaceutics

The Department of Pharmaceutics focuses on imparting fundamental knowledge essential for understanding the formulation, delivery, and safety of pharmaceutical products. The curriculum of the Department of Pharmaceutics is designed to equip students with a solid grounding in the principles of drug formulation, pharmacokinetics, and biopharmaceutics. Department of Basic Medical Sciences

Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) serve as the foundation for teaching and practical training of undergraduate and graduate pharmacy education. The BMS department employs integrated teaching strategies that focus on both structural and functional lines, equipping PharmD students with a solid foundation in various basic medical sciences to support their lifelong clinical practice. Since the inception of Salim Habib University, the faculty of BMS have proven their commitment towards provision of high-quality education to students, aiming to train them as competent pharmacists and researchers for the future.
