Visit to Zia Uddin Hospital, KDLB

Department of Biomedical Engineering strongly emphasize on industrial exposure and technical hands-on experience for engineering students. In this regard, department organized a field visit for Biomedical Engineering students at Zia Uddin Hospital, KDLB, Karachi on Thursday Oct 3, 2019. The Incharge Biomedical Engineering Department, briefed the students about organizational structure and departments of a Tertiary Care Hospital. Students visited various departments of hospital including Radiology, Laboratory, CSSD, Critical Care, Dental unit and Physiotherapy Department. Biomedical Engineers briefly explained the mechanism and showed real time working of Autoclave machine, MRI, CT-Scanner and dental Unit. Students were enlightened with the working of Biomedical Engineers and their vital importance in the health care industry. We are truly grateful to Dr. Ziauddin Hospital for hosting this informative visit.
