1. The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is headed by the Director who co-ordinates with all regulatory bodies and reports directly to the Vice Chancellor
  2. Promoting public confidence by maintaining quality and standards for the award of degrees
  3. Review of quality standards through monitoring of teaching quality and learning in each subject area
  4. Review of academic affiliations with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of the offered programs
  5. To define clear and explicit standards as points of reference for reviews to be carried out
  6. To develop qualification framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e. Bachelors, Bachelor with Honors, Master’s, M. Phil, and Doctoral
  7. To develop program specifications which are a standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student should have developed on successfully completing a specific program
  8. To develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation
  9. To ensure that the university’s quality assurance procedures are designed such that they match the arrangements nationally
  10. QEC is responsible for develop procedures for the following:
    • Approval of new programs
    • Annual monitoring and evaluation through various surveys
    • Departmental reviews
    • Student feedback
    • Employer feedback
    • Quality Assurance of all relevant degree programs
    • Subject review
    • Institutional assessment
    • Program specifications
    • Qualification framework
