- The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is headed by the Director who co-ordinates with all regulatory bodies and reports directly to the Vice Chancellor
- Promoting public confidence by maintaining quality and standards for the award of degrees
- Review of quality standards through monitoring of teaching quality and learning in each subject area
- Review of academic affiliations with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of the offered programs
- To define clear and explicit standards as points of reference for reviews to be carried out
- To develop qualification framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e. Bachelors, Bachelor with Honors, Master’s, M. Phil, and Doctoral
- To develop program specifications which are a standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student should have developed on successfully completing a specific program
- To develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation
- To ensure that the university’s quality assurance procedures are designed such that they match the arrangements nationally
