Join us in congratulating our highly talented Biomedical Engineering students Mahnoor Maqsood, Adam Jeraj, and Mudasir Rafiq, for winning 1st Prize in the Robotics Hardware Competition (Junior Category) at the IEEE Region 10 Robotics Competition 2022!

The Robotics Competition, themed 'Robotics for Healthcare', was held at Sukkur IBA in colloboration with IEEE Student Branch on June 22, 2022, and featured projects created by students from various leading universities all over Sindh, including PAFKIET, LUMHS, and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University, among others.

Our students, supervised by SHU's Department of Biomedical Engineering Faculty Members Engr. Hassan Ali and Engr. Tooba Khan, presented their project, an 'Automated Therapeutic Arm', at the competition. The project, designed with the aim to help stroke patients in recovering from a stroke, is a 3D printed exoskeleton of the hand that can help paralysed patients in performing repeated activities without the need of a physiotherapist. It wowed the judges and audience alike, resulting in our team securing 1st Position and a cash prize.

We are immensely proud of our brilliant students and faculty!
