Death Anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Salim Habib University is observing the Death Anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the poet-philosopher who died on April 21, 1938.

Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal is called "Mufakkir-e-Pakistan" for conceiving his vision of a separate homeland for the Muslims of India.

Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a great poet-philosopher, for invoking a revolutionary spirit in the Muslim youth through his poetry. His tremendous work in multiple languages earned him the title of "Poet of East" by literary critics.

It was due to his love, effort, and passion for his religion, his country that he can still move millions of people with his words and poetic thoughts. It is due to his undying diligence and fight for a vision that came into reality, which we all can call our homeland, Pakistan.
