The IEEE SHU Student Branch (IEEE SHUSB) is Salim Habib University’s branch of the global Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a professional association for electronics engineering, electrical engineering and other related disciplines. IEEE SHUSB provides students with a community of peers and a connection to engineering faculty and industry professionals who drive innovation in a range of technical fields. Student involvement in Branch activities, whether special projects, social and technical meetings, outreach programs, conferences, or local Section or Regional opportunities, can help develop a record of accomplishment and capabilities beyond the norm. The primary purpose of IEEE Student Branch is to Inspire, Enable, Empower and Energize student members to enhance their technical interests.
In an era where technology is expanding at a rapid rate and the needs for medical application of these technologies has never been greater, the intersection between engineering, medicine and biology is a critical place to be. The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society is well-positioned to serve as a central gathering point for both of these major disciplines.
The IEEE Communications Society promotes technological innovation and fosters creation and sharing of information among the global technical community. Its vision is to bring the world together in harmony through communications and networking technology research, application, education, and incubation of new ideas.
