World Trauma Day focuses on the importance of saving and protecting lives during emergencies. It’s also a day to provide education on how to avoid traumatic injuries and deaths.
Trauma is caused by road traffic accidents, falls, natural disasters, physical violence, etc. but out of all these road accidents are the leading cause. Trauma is the leading cause of disability and death worldwide.
But immediate care for the traumatic people can be life-saving. Several treatments can help people with trauma to cope with their symptoms and improve their quality of life. Therapy is a first-line treatment for trauma. Ideally, an individual will work with a trauma-informed or trauma-focused therapist.
Let us work to alleviate it in the people around us. Always remember that “Timely Response Saves Lives”.
