Pakistan Day

SHU conveys its warmest wishes on Pakistan Day.

On this day in 1940, the Muslim League’s annual session was held in Lahore, and there, A.K. Fazlul Huq presented a historical resolution that paved the way for the creation of our beloved Pakistan. In this resolution, Muslims officially demanded all Muslim-majority areas of land and rejected all other proposed ways to resolve the issue.

As Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah stated, ‘’We should have a State in which we could live and breathe as free men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where principles of Islamic social justice could find free play.’’

May Allah bless us all with genuine devotion to our country and appreciation for having a land of our own, and may we understand the true meaning of the momentous resolution passed on the 23rd of March, 1940, a day which is now marked and forever celebrated as Pakistan Resolution Day.

Happy Pakistan Day!
