Oceans are a source of beauty, joy, and life.
They play a critical role in our survival, as they provide food, medicine, and even a large percentage of the oxygen we breathe. They aid transportation, contribute to the economy, and help regulate the climate. In addition to this, they are home to all marine life, provide several popular forms of recreation, and are also a source of income for billions of people.
It is therefore no surprise that we observe World Oceans Day to acknowledge how important oceans are to us and to emphasize on making efforts to save them from pollution, and sustain them for the future of humanity.
