A Panel Discussion on 'Pakistan - An Asian Tiger or a Bankrupt State' was held by Salim Habib University's Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

The Panel Discussion, which highlighted the political and economic issues Pakistan is currently facing, was moderated by Mr. Imran Sultan, Senior Anchorperson, AAJ TV, and was brought to life through the expertise of Mr. Muzammil Aslam, Senior Economist & Former Spokesperson of the Finance Minister of the Government of Pakistan, Mr. Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, Managing Director, Imtiaz Enterprises, Air Marshal Riaz Uddin Shaikh (Rtd), Chairman Human Resource Development & Technical Training, Government of Sindh, and Veteran of the Wars of 1965, 1971 & 1973, who has served PAF for 35 years, Mr. Shabbar Zaidi, Former Senior Partner, A F Ferguson & Co and Former Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue, Mr. Majeed Aziz Balagamwala, Business Tycoon & Industrialist, President, MHG Group of Companies and President, UN Global Compact Network Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Chinoy, Board Member, Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd and Managing Partner, Arch Sons Group of Companies, Prof. Dr. Samina Khalil, Development Economist, Research Professor, and Member, Economic Advisory Council of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Mr. Faraz ur Rehman, President KATI, and Founder & Patron-in-Chief, Pakistan Business Group Organization.

Engr. Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, Politician and President Jamaat-e-lslami, Karachi, also addressed the audience. 

The Chief Guest at the grand event was Commissioner Karachi Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Memon.
