A hands-on Workshop on Animal Cell Culture Techniques organized by the Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Science, Salim Habib University (SHU), was held at SHU from Monday, December 4, to Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

The workshop, a post-conference event for the 14th International Biennial Conference of the Pakistan Society for Microbiology (FIBC-PSM 2023) held from November 22 to 24, 2023, at Salim Habib University, Karachi, was a great opportunity for students, teachers, scientists, researchers, and industry professionals to get an in-depth insight into cell culture and its usage as one of the major tools in cellular and molecular biology that provides excellent model systems for studying the physiology and biochemistry of cells.

Facilitators for the workshop were Prof. Dr. Aqeel Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. Arshad Mahmood, Chairperson, Department of Biosciences, and Dr. Mudassar Azhar, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, SHU.
