Connect 1.0: Networking for the Future was a two-pronged event organized by Salim Habib University's IEEE Student Branch in collaboration with the IEEE Communications Society Karachi Chapter and IEEE Young Professionals Karachi on May 8, 2024 to announce its new society - IEEE SHU ComSoc.

The event included a guest lecture titled Shaping the Future of Healthcare: The Diverse Careers of Biomedical Engineering by Dr. M. Ahmed Khan, Scientific Research Scholar, Stanford University, and the IEEE SHU Communications Society (IEEE SHU ComSoc) Inaugural Ceremony, conducted by Dr. Umair Korai, Assistant Professor, Department of Telecommunication Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology.
