On this day 77 years ago, Pakistan emerged as an independent nation—a precious gift of freedom that we must hold dear each day.

Our visionary leaders fought tirelessly for our right to self-governance and self-determination, paving the way for a land of our own where we could voice our opinions, rule ourselves, and practice our religion without hindrance. Through their struggle and the grace of Allah, we were bestowed with this beautiful country we call our homeland.

On this Independence Day, let's acknowledge this blessing and commit ourselves to improving the conditions of our country. It needs us now more than ever.
