October 10 is marked as World Mental Health Day, a day that attempts to raise awareness of mental health issues and the crucial need to inspire efforts in the support of mental health.
Problems having to do with mental health are just as debilitating as physical illnesses, and need to be taken just as seriously. In Pakistan in particular, the treatment of mental illnesses as taboo or something to be ashamed of and to keep hidden away is a huge problem that causes millions to stay in pain instead of talking about their problems and seeking the help they so desperately need.
Today, let's raise awareness, break the stigma, and prioritize self-care.
