Department of Biomedical Engineering (DBME) believe that students being exposed to workshops, seminars, conferences held at regular intervals make them more prone towards effective learning and are a great way to rapidly enhance students’ knowledge, gain hands on experience to implement the skills and ultimately achieve success in their academic environment.

For this purpose, the Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a workshop on the “Effective use of Scientific Calculator” on 30th November, 2018, which aid the students in learning new features of scientific calculator, essential in courses of mathematics, physics, chemistry, statistics and other subjects involving numerical calculations.

The workshop was conducted by a very diligent and professional instructor Mr. Sadiq Merchant, an entrepreneur and a teacher by profession with more than twenty-nine years’ experience; as a teacher, as an educational advisor, as a teacher’s trainer, as a mentor and as section coordinator/ academic coordinator at MSB-Karachi. He has conducted more than 150 workshops and training sessions on various pedagogies. Currently affiliated with Casio Pakistan and also run his own Institute (Since 1997) providing education in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to Higher Secondary level students. He has also presented several research papers in educational conferences.
