Biography
Rahat Fatima Naqvi is a dedicated pharmacy professional and academician with extensive experience in teaching, research, and pharmaceutical practice. She is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Salim Habib University, Karachi. With a strong background in Pharmaceutics and Physical Pharmacy, she has been actively involved in curriculum development, student mentorship, and research activities.
Rahat holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Pharmaceutics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, where she conducted innovative research on novel drug delivery systems. Her Pharm-D (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree was obtained from Riphah International University, Islamabad. She has authored a research publication in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Innovation, focusing on the development of taste-masked medicated chocolates for pediatric patients.
With over three years of teaching experience, Rahat has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence by integrating modern AI tools and software to enhance student engagement.
Prior to academia, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Production Officer at Paramount Pharmaceuticals, overseeing packaging, blistering, and coding operations. Her hospital pharmacy experience includes positions at ICSI Pvt Ltd Islamabad, where she played a crucial role in patient counseling, medication dispensing, and formulary management.
Rahat is passionate about pharmacovigilance, novel drug formulations, and pharmaceutical education, actively participating in research conferences and faculty development programs.
