1st International Conference on Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICPPS-25) - Day 02

The 1st International Conference on Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICPPS-25), organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Salim Habib University (SHU), in realization of the vision of the University’s Honorable Chancellor Dr. Iram Afaq and her mission of revolutionizing education and healthcare for the better through innovation, global collaboration, and groundbreaking research in the pharmaceutical sciences, concluded at the MBB Auditorium, SHU, on Friday, May 30, 2025.

The second and final day of the conference, which was attended by a dedicated mix of delegates, scholars, and professionals, featured a thought-provoking Panel Discussion titled Bridging the Gap: Strengthening Collaboration Between the Pharmaceutical Industry, Community Pharmacy, and Academia, which included renowned industry experts and academicians Dr. Fatima Yusra, Head of DSM, Firmenich Health & Nutrition Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Faiyaz Vaid, Ex-Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Karachi, Mr. Aurangzeb Ansari, Production and Operational Head, Novartis, Mr. Syed Adnan Rizvi, Director, Drug Testing Laboratory Sindh (DTL), Mr. Jibran Bin Yousuf, Head Pharmacy Services, NICVD, and Dr. Muhammad Ashar Malik, Associated Dean of Education, AKU. The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Ali Qazi, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Shadab Kashif, Lecturer, Faculty of Pharmacy, SHU.

Day 2 of the ICPPS-25 also featured oral presentations, poster presentations, and project displays, all of which showcased breakthroughs with the potential to reshape the future of pharmaceutics and pharmacy practice. Conference Secretary Mr. Ali Asgher Shuja, Lecturer, Faculty of Pharmacy, also shared his reflections on the event.

In conclusion, ICPPS-25 was a remarkable success, bringing together researchers, academicians, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders to discuss cutting-edge advancements in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences and fostering collaboration in drug discovery, healthcare technologies, and patient-centered care. We are proud to have hosted such a landmark event and look forward to initiating more such milestones in the future.
