SHU Research Grant
The universities are recognized by their research and its quality, impact on society and economic development. Considering the importance of research and to motivate the faculty members; to propagate research culture among the faculty members to conduct quality research, SHU has allocated special funds from its own resources.
This research grant provides a platform for academicians to submit small research projects to win research funding from SHU, on competitive basis. The detail of the research grant policy is included in ORIC handbook.

Article Publication Charges
This initiative is meant to encourage faculty members/scholars of SHU to produce high-quality and genuine research publications and to promote pure, applied/technological research in different domains so as to make a useful impact upon society.
As many International Journals charge publication-charge/fee for the publication of the research manuscripts submitted by the faculty members & researchers and accepted in a quality journal. But, the publication charges at times becomes an obstacle to publish research work in quality journals.
Also, the research articles published per annum/faculty member by a university and their citations are prime parameters for ranking a university by International Ranking Agencies i.e. QS World Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE) in their different versions such as World, Asia, Africa etc.
The employees of all faculties of SHU are eligible to apply for APC. They need to submit the form along with ranking of Journal and indexing in HJRS.
Publication Charge shall be paid for accepted manuscripts/Published articles in Impact factor, ISI Indexed, HEC-W, X and Y category journal publications.
Cash Incentive on Research Publication
The reward on research publication policy is developed to encourage faculty members of SHU to produce quality research work in related domains. For this, a detailed policy is developed at SHU.
As per this policy, the Cash incentive shall be paid for a publication in an impact factor journal. Impact factor publications play a significant role in contribution to international rankings of universities. Cash Incentives shall also be paid to HEC Y category journals publication, only be applicable to Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, and Management Sciences.
To be eligible for cash incentive, the researcher/author should be affiliated with SHU and his affiliation is mentioned in published article of impact factor journal.
Best University Researcher Award
The Best University Researcher Award is intended to encourage and recognize the research contributions of the outstanding researchers of Salim Habib University. The monetary incentive reward and Certificate of Appreciation are crucial to promote research activities and enhance the quality of research carried out by the faculty members of SHU. All SHU faculty members / researchers can apply for this award as per mentioned eligibility criteria.
Best Student Researcher Award
The Best Student Researcher Award aims to encourage and recognize the research contributions of the outstanding research students of Salim Habib University. The monetary incentives and Certificate of Appreciation are crucial to enhance the quality of research carried out by the students of SHU. All currently enrolled students of SHU fulfilling the criteria are eligible.
Final Year Projects
To promote a research culture at SHU and to enhance the scope and pace of R&D, a separate financial allocation has been made by SHU to provide funds to the final year projects of the students. Final year students with mandatory FYP requirement are eligible for this funding. Additionally, MPhil and PhD Students are also eligible to avail this opportunity once in the entire period of their study
