About Program
Program Objectives
The BS-Bioscience program provides intellectual development and scholarly maturation, training graduates for career options that include teaching, research, and/or service in the health care and life sciences. The program emphasizes flexibility in pursuing different paths within biological sciences as well as interdisciplinary training to meet the individual professional goals of each student.
- To produce multi-disciplinarily trained graduates.

- Effectively communicate scientific issues both to bioscience fraternity and to general public.

Immunologist in Vaccine Development Industry To create effective and safe vaccines by understanding the behavior of pathogens (how they cause the disease) and immune system.
Environmental Biotechnologist To create effective and safe vaccines by understanding the behavior of pathogens (how they cause the disease) and immune system.
Product Development Scientist in Immunodiagnostic Industry To design and develop diagnostic tests that detect disease by immune responses and also to ensure that these tests are effective, reliable, and ready for market use.
Food Safety Analyst/ Nutrition Specialist in Food Industry To improve food safety by developing new food preservation techniques, preventing foodborne illnesses and ensuring better nutritional content
Geneticist (Plant Breeding) in Agriculture Industry To improve crop yields, develop disease-resistant plants, and promote sustainable farming practices by enhancing soil health and finding innovative solutions to food security challenges.
To improve waste treatment methods and ensure environmental safety.
Medical Laboratory Scientist in Hospitals To support disease diagnosing procedures by analyzing blood, tissue, and other samples, this helps to make informed treatment decisions.
Health Consultant in Livestock Industry To improve animal health, breeding, nutrition and boost productivity. Also develops strategies to prevent and manage diseases, ensuring sustainable livestock farming.
To analyze biological data using computer tools for understanding genes, proteins, and diseases. Also develops software and databases that assist in research and drug discovery.
To solve real-world problems in health, agriculture, and the environment through their teaching & research.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicants should:
- Have 45% marks in HSC (Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical) /A-levels or equivalent qualification
- Qualify the Aptitude Test and Interview
