The Opening Ceremony of the 1st Sindh Open Snooker Championship 2024, organized by B Activation in collaboration with Sindh Snooker Association (SSA) and presented by Fatima Business School, took place at Salim Habib University on December 17, 2024.

The Ceremony, the Chief Guest for which was Vice Chancellor SHU Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, featured a brilliant snooker match between the ISBA World Champion 1994 Muhammad Yousuf and ISBA Asian U-21 Champion 2024 M. Husnain Akhtar.

Notably present were Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib, Registrar SHU, Mr. Umer Farooq, Manager Admin and Head of Sports, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), and Security, Mr. Ahmed Bilal, Senior Sports Officer, Mr. Waqas, and Mr. Asadullah Aleem.
