Admission Process

SHU has an admissions procedure that is solely merit-based and designed to induct students of the highest caliber into the University. Although selective, our process does not discriminate on the basis of gender, faith, race, ethnicity, or nationality and candidates are selected purely on the basis of their capabilities.

    Admission Process

    Apply online and register to appear in the SHU Aptitude Test.
    Download APC voucher and pay the Application Fee to the designated bank OR make a Pay Order/Demand Draft in the name of “Salim Habib University (formerly Barrett Hodgson University)”. Click here to download the voucher.
    Clear SHU’s Aptitude Test with at least a 50% score in each section OR provide proof for exemption from the Aptitude Test by providing SAT I/SAT II/GMAT/GRE scores transcript as applicable. SHU Aptitude Test results will be valid for 18 months from the date of dissemination of the list of successful candidates.
    Appear for an interview before two faculty members.
    Meet the minimum academic eligibility requirement for the concerned program.
    Provide an equivalence certificate in case you are a holder of degrees/certificates issued by non-Pakistani universities/boards.
    Pay the fee for the concerned program and provide proof of payment.
    Complete enrollment process for the semester.

    Weightage

    The weightage by which your score in each section of the admission process contributes to your final score on the Merit List, on the basis of which it is decided whether you have obtained admission or not, is as follows:

    Objectives of Aptitude Test and Interview

    The weightage by which your score in each section of the admission process contributes to your final score on the Merit List, on the basis of which it is decided whether you have obtained admission or not, is as follows:

    Aptitude Test

    The objective of our Aptitude Test is to evaluate the candidate’s abilities of quantitative and analytical reasoning and their communications skills, reading comprehension skills, grammatical skills, and general aptitude for the program.

    Interview

    The objective of the interview is to assess the candidate for the qualities and the capacity required for success in their chosen program of study and to identify and evaluate their potential to add value to the industry and contribute to society when they graduate.
