Intra University Debate Competition

Barrett Hodgson University’s Arts and literature society organized an on-campus Intra University Debate Competition under the theme of ‘Say No to Corruption’ on Friday, November 13th, 2020.

The Event had a relishing atmosphere and the debates made it livelier. Kumail Raza (President ALS) and Areej Jamil (General Secretary ALS) were the masters of the Ceremony whereas Arbab Ahmed Khan and Laiba Yusra (Members of ALS) carried out the debating segments.

The English Declamation was judged by Dr. Kaleem Raza Khan, Registrar of BHU and The Urdu Declamation was judged by Syed Zeeshan Hafeez, Director of Pakistan Debating Society.

All the participants were extraordinarily talented in their respective categories as it takes a lot of courage and guts to speak live on the stage.

The winners were as follow:

•Urdu Declamation:

Winner- Ms. Erum Hameed (Department of Doctor of Pharmacy)

Runner Up- Mr. Hasnain Raza (Department of Accounting and Finance)

•English Declamation:

Winner- Ms. Allamshah Hassan (Department of Doctor of Pharmacy)

Runner Up- Mr. Ghasif Zain (Department of Doctor of Pharmacy)

The guests of honor were Mr. Rizwan Jaffer (Founder/Chairperson of Youth Parliament), Mr. Christopher Thomas (Brazilian Social Activist), and Mr. Owais Rabbani (Anchor GTV and Founder Jinnah ka Pakistan). The event was further patronized by, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of BHU
