    Biography

    Dr. Syed Iradat Abbas is an accomplished academic and researcher with over a decade of teaching, research, and leadership experience in the fields of Finance, Islamic Banking, and Business Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Banking and Finance from Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah International Islamic University, Malaysia, an MBA from the University of South Wales, UK, and a B.Ed. from Federal Urdu University, Pakistan.

    Before joining Salim Habib University, Dr. Abbas served as  Head of the Department and Associate Dean at the Metropolitan University of Karachi and as Adjunct Faculty at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). His professional journey also includes international teaching experience in the UAE and significant contributions as a Research Assistant at CIFER, Malaysia, where he engaged in cutting-edge quantitative research using advanced statistical and econometric techniques.

    Dr. Abbas has published extensively in SCOPUS- and WOS-indexed journals on themes including Islamic finance, human resource management, fintech, digital transformation, corporate finance, and organizational performance. His research is widely recognized for bridging theory with practice, offering solutions to pressing challenges in finance and management.

    At Salim Habib University, Dr. Abbas is committed to fostering academic excellence, research innovation, and student mentorship. He actively integrates research insights into his teaching, encourages critical thinking, and prepares students for the evolving global financial landscape. With strong expertise in derivatives, financial risk management, and Islamic banking, he contributes to building a research-driven and industry-relevant learning environment.
