Biography
Dr. Sheeraz has received Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, P.R. China under the Chinese Government Scholarship. He has completed his MS in Telecommunication and Computer Network Engineering from London South Bank University, London UK. His research interests include Video Analysis, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, Machine and modern Deep Learning and its application to different domains such as Health, Agriculture, Environment and Cyber security. He has published over 20 research articles in journal and conference of high repute. He is also associated with the Research Institute of Communication Technology (RICT Lab) in Beijing Institute of Technology. He is also associated with INIT International University Malaysia research team.

Dr. Sheeraz Arif is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and administrator with significant contributions to higher education, research development, and institutional growth. He has successfully applied for and secured competitive research grants from prestigious funding bodies including the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Higher Education Commission National Research Program for Universities (NRPU), STEG, and Ignite, demonstrating his strong research capability and commitment to innovation.
As Dean, Dr. Arif played a pivotal strategic role in institutional development, contributing to academic expansion, program development, quality assurance, and long-term strategic planning. His leadership significantly strengthened academic programs and enhanced the institution’s research culture and industry linkages.
He served as the Organizer/Conference Chair of ICCA-25 (International Conference on Computing and Applications 2025), successfully leading an international academic platform that brought together researchers, scholars, and industry experts. The conference facilitated knowledge exchange, collaboration, and dissemination of cutting-edge research in computing and emerging technologies.
Dr. Arif actively contributes to the global research community as a reviewer for various reputed international research journals. He has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research students, fostering academic excellence and mentoring future researchers and professionals.
Earlier in his academic career, he was honoured with the Excellent Student Award at Beijing Institute of Technology, reflecting his strong academic foundation and dedication to scholarly excellence.
Through his research leadership, administrative excellence, mentorship, and international engagement, Dr. Sheeraz Arif continues to make impactful contributions to academia and research advancement.
