Information Desks

The Tariq Amin Library staff is available at the Information Desks during working hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM). The Library provides the following services through its staff:

  • First point of contact for all users and Library members – the Information Desk assists through all modes of communication, such as phone, email, Ask Us, social media platforms, and digital presence.
  • Referral to Resources – the Library acts as the link to the most appropriate resources and services and ensures a timely response to the inquirer.
  • Space – the Library provides a safe and secure learning space with a serene environment that is continually maintained.
  • Orientation – Library services provide assistance in giving orientation to visitors, new entrants, and other members around the library sites, spaces and facilities, as well as around the University campus.
  • Guidance – the Library provides guidance and direction in numerous ways to Library members to aid them in obtaining the learning resources they require.
  • Copying – the Library assists its members in getting photocopies and printouts and in scanning documents.
  • Extra-curriculars – the Library staff is helpful in arranging fun activities for Library members to relieve the stress of studying.
