Today, the 17th of October, is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed to unite global action for the development of sustainable solutions to solve the problem of world poverty and destitution.This day also honours the victims of poverty, hunger, and violence, raises awareness of the conditions the poor live in, and gives them the opportunity to raise their voices.
