SHU Celebrates IEEE Day 2025 with Innovation and Sustainability

Salim Habib University’s IEEE Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE Computer Society, and the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Information Technology, organized an event in celebration of IEEE Day 2025, on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The event included engaging talks by Prof. Dr. Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor SHU, Mr. Parkash Lohana, Director, Center of Skills & Professional Development, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), and Chair, IEEE Karachi Section Professional Activities & Ethics Committee (2024-25), Dr. Dur-e-Jabeen, IEEE Executive Committee (ExCom) Member & Associate Professor, Iqra University, and Mr. Aslam Pirzada, CEO, Ideal Autonetics (Pvt) Limited, and also featured fun-filled activities a plantation drive and bicycling activity, which provided students with opportunities to promote sustainability, and explore healthy, community-focused initiatives.

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating the commitment and achievements of our IEEE community.
