Pinktober Day: Breast Cancer Awareness Session was held at Salim Habib University on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, organized by our Faculty of Pharmacy in collaboration with Haya Beauty, aimed at raising awareness about the deadly cancer, promoting early detection, and empowering individuals with knowledge and resources for better health outcomes

The informative and enlightening session was graced by Ms. Sabheen Ghoury, Member National Assembly of Pakistan, as the Honourable Chief Guest. The event brought together healthcare professionals and featured inspiring keynote talks by Dr. Samina Badar, Manager Pharmacy, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center, and Dr. Saima Awan, General and Breast Surgeon, Memon Medical Institute Hospital. One major highlight of the session was a dynamic and engaging discussion on Surviving and Thriving: Redefining Life After Cancer, featuring Ms. Samra Zeeshan, Educationist & Motivational Speaker, who courageously shared her survival story and inspired attendees with her resilience and determination. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Farhana Tasleem, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy.

The event also featured an engaging Quiz Competition and a theatrical performance by third-year pharmacy students, adding an interactive and creative element to the session.

Notably present were Registrar Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib, Prof. Dr. Noor Kamil, Dean, and members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as other faculty and staff members of the university community.
