International Plastic Bag Free Day

International Plastic Bag Free Day is observed on the 3rd of July every year as an attempt to wipe out the use of plastic bags all across the globe. The day also aims to raise awareness of the serious harm that plastic has been causing our environment. Plastic bags, in particular, have been putting immense strain on our planet and its ecosystems. They are a major reason for plastic pollution, which is a pressing environmental concern as it harms and poisons wildlife and their habitats through accumulation of non-biodegradable plastic particles in the environment. On this International Plastic Bag Free Day, let us pledge to stop using plastic bags altogether, and to find green alternatives for them.
