Breast Cancer Awareness Session Held at Salim Habib University

To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Salim Habib University’s IEEE Student Branch, in collaboration with the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group Karachi Section, Women in Engineering (WIE) SHU Chapter, and FUJIFILM Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., organized an informative Breast Cancer Awareness Session on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The attendees had an engaging experience learning about early detection, prevention, and the latest technologies contributing to the early detection of this life-threatening disease. A live demonstration of an ultrasound unit was also shown, which provided the participants with a hands-on look at cutting-edge innovations in promoting women’s health and well-being.

Notably present were Prof. Dr. Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib, Registrar, Prof. Dr. M. Zeeshan Ul Haq, Dean, and the members of the Faculty of Engineering.
