Backpack to Briefcase – Alumni Success Stories feat. Makia Akbar, Accounting & Finance Graduate, Spring 2022

In today's installment of the Salim Habib University Career Placement & Industrial Liaison Office's Backpack to Briefcase: Series of Alumni Success Stories, we feature Makia Akbar, an Accounting & Finance graduate of the Class of 2022, who is now Manager Accounts at Pakistan Business Consultants. This is what Makia has to say about her journey:"I believe success is always a bumpy ride.Academic input is a major component in determining a student’s success. Guidance and grooming provided at the right time and in an appropriate manner can be critical in ensuring that students are able to grab opportunities coming their way easily. Most students have potential – it is the lack of the right motivation, training and mentoring which makes their journey towards realizing this potential difficult.I'm thankful to Salim Habib University for helping me in developing skills, and for their guidance and support at every step. The Faculty of Management Sciences has enhanced my confidence and potential to compete in the corporate world."We are proud of you, Makia!
