Silence & Conduct

• Maintain silence inside the Library.
• Discussions allowed only in designated areas with prior approval.
• Harassment, abusive language, disruptive behavior, or sleeping is not permitted.

Identification & Security

• Display your SHU ID and present it when asked.
• Staff may inspect any items, including at the exit.

Personal Belongings

• Place bags on entrance racks.
• Do not leave belongings unattended.
• The library is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Dress & Hygiene

• Short pants are not allowed.
• Maintain proper hygiene; strong body odors or overpowering fragrances are not permitted.

Food, Drinks & Phones

• Eating is prohibited; only water is allowed.
• Keep mobile phones on silent, no calls inside the library.

Computers & Internet

• For academic research use only.
• No movies, games, or objectionable content.
• One user per workstation; furniture must remain in place.

Seating & Space Use

• Seats cannot be reserved; use any available seat.
• Reserved floors/spaces require prior approval.

Copyright

• Follow all copyright laws when copying or scanning materials.

Feedback & Support

• Complaints or service issues may be reported to the Librarian.

Penalties

• Membership may be suspended for harassment, misconduct, abusive language, immoral behavior, or rule violations.
