International Day of Sign Languages

International Day of Sign Languages Observed on 23rd September every year, the day raises awareness of the importance of sign language and promotes the linguistic identity of the deaf community. Approx. 72 million people around the globe have impaired hearing and speaking difficulty.The importance of sign language in ensuring everyone can communicate and that no one gets left behind because of hearing or speaking challenges.
