Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a day that is much needed.Statistics say that one in every three women have been abused in their lifetime. Violence against women is so common that many don’t even bat an eyelash when faced with it anymore. They consider it one of the realities of life, when in truth, it does not have to be so. The abuse of women needs to be stopped, and the only way towards a future in which women are safe is through change. We need to change our mentality, our thought processes, our conditioning that teaches us that violence against women is okay. It is NOT. It can, and must, be stopped.End violence against women now.
