Project BIOMED 5.0 – Work Package 4 Steering Committee Meeting

The first meeting of the Steering Committee of Work Package 4, an establishment of the Center of Excellence in Biomedical Engineering under Project BIOMED 5.0, was held at Salim Habib University on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.The meeting was attended by Dr. Fahad Azim, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Ziauddin University, Dr. Abdul Qadir Ansari, Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Dr. Sarmad Shams, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Dr. Sidra Abid Syed, Chairperson, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, and Engr. Nazia, Lecturer, Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar (BUETK), along with their team members. Also present online were Prof. Dr. Gulistan Raja, Electrical Engineering Dept., University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, and Dr. M. Ahsan Naeem, Assistant Professor, University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.Present from Salim Habib University were Prof. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Kaleem Raza Khan, Registrar, Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib, Executive Director Education, Marketing, HR & Admin, Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Ul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Engr. Hassan Ali, Lecturer, Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Engr. Muhammad Amir, Lecturer, Department of Biomedical Engineering, along with two final year Biomedical Engineering students, namely Mirza Areeb Baig and Syeda Fakhra Jalal.
