Biography
Mirza Areeb Baig is a Research and Teaching Associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Salim Habib University. His work lies at the intersection of biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, and healthcare robotics, with a strong focus on medical image analysis, simulation-based medical education, and human–machine interaction.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is actively involved in applied research projects related to AI-driven healthcare systems, robotic surgical assistance, and immersive training technologies using virtual and augmented reality. He also serves as a Trainer at the Erasmus+ funded BIOMED 5.0 Lab, contributing to hands-on education in advanced manufacturing, robotics, and digital health technologies.
Teaching Experience
Mirza Areeb Baig has been serving as a Research and Teaching Associate at Salim Habib University since 2025. He is involved in designing and conducting undergraduate laboratories in biosignal processing, modeling and simulation, digital logic design, electrical engineering, and engineering mechanics. He has supervised and mentored numerous undergraduate projects, guiding students through research design, hardware development, and software implementation.
As a Trainer at the BIOMED 5.0 Lab, he delivers practical training sessions on additive manufacturing, CNC milling, PCB fabrication, laser cutting, and integrated Industry 5.0 technologies. He also contributes to curriculum support and lab development.
