Event Details

It was a privilege to host Mr. Umair Ahmed, Supplier Quality Assurance Manager at GoodyCo (KSA) and former quality professional at Mondelez and Kraft Foods, for an engaging guest session on “Quality Management in End-to-End FMCG Supply Chains” with students of the BS Supply Chain Management (BS SCM) program at Faculty of Management Sciences.

Drawing upon his extensive experience in global FMCG organizations, Mr. Ahmed shared valuable insights into supplier quality assurance, quality management systems, compliance requirements, and the critical role of quality in delivering consistent value to customers across the supply chain. His practical examples helped students connect supply chain concepts learned in the classroom with real-world industry practices.

The BS Supply Chain Management program at Salim Habib University is designed to equip students with the knowledge, analytical capabilities, and industry exposure required to thrive in this dynamic field. Through industry engagement, practical learning experiences, and technology-enabled classrooms, the program aims to develop future-ready professionals capable of contributing across procurement, logistics, operations, quality management, planning, analytics, and strategic supply chain functions.

A key highlight of the session was the use of Salim Habib University’s e-classroom infrastructure, which enabled live interaction between students in Pakistan and an industry professional based in Saudi Arabia, allowing real-time engagement with international supply chain practices without geographical barriers.
