International Youth Day is held on August 12 annually in order to raise awareness on how crucial the youth’s participation in world issues is. The youth, if steered in the right direction and allowed the freedom to explore and innovate, have the power to solve pressing global problems such as poverty, social discrimination and injustice, lack of access to healthcare, loss of biodiversity, and climate change.Therefore, it is essential to prepare young people for the responsibility of building a better future for all and to instill in them the skills needed to do so.
