World Humanitarian Day pays tribute to humanitarian workers killed and injured in the course of their work, and to honor all aid and health workers who continue to provide life-saving support and protection to people most in need. We praise the relentless efforts of humanitarian workers who are on the front lines when emergencies strike, ultimately risking their own lives to help others. We celebrate the precious work of those who make possible the continuity, in any form, of essential services adversely impacted by conflicts and emergencies.Remember all the humanitarian personnel who have lost their lives and those who are still working despite the odds.
