International Day of Peace

The International Day of Peace is celebrated each year on September 21, a date declared by the United Nations in 1981, to end conflict, discrimination, inequality, racism, terrorism, and violence, promote peace, and foster global cooperation worldwide.

This year’s International Day of Peace has its theme ‘Act Now For a Peaceful World’. As we strive for a more just and peaceful world, it is both our individual responsibility and collective duty to speak up against violence, hate, prejudice, and injustice, and practice respect and embrace the diversity of our global community.
