Salim Habib University’s Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), in collaboration with the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC), successfully hosted a two-day Training Workshop on AI in Higher Education: From Models to Meaningful Practice, which was held from May 13-14, 2026, at Auditorium A, SHU.
The workshop, led by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon, Director, FAST-NUCES Karachi, Dr. Muhammad Atif Tahir, Professor, Department of Computer Science, IBA, and Dr. Murk Marvi, Associate Professor, Computer Science & Information Technology Department, NEDUET, explored the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education, focusing on its transition from theoretical models and experimental tools to practical, ethical, and outcome-driven implementation in teaching, learning, research, administration, and academic decision-making.
