SHU has inked a MOU with Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation

Salim Habib University has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF), with the aim of sustaining a collaborative partnership to promote academic research and healthcare initiatives in areas such as hematology, transfusion medicine, diagnostics, public health, healthcare management, and patient-centered care as well as create opportunities for joint research projects, scientific publications, conferences, workshops, and research mentorship. In addition, SHU students and faculty will have the opportunity to participate in observational visits, research activities, awareness campaigns, and community-based healthcare projects, further strengthening their practical exposure and contribution to society.

The initiation of this incredible partnership would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of Ms. Tabbassum Zehra, Lecturer, Faculty of Pharmacy, SHU, to whom we are immensely grateful.

The MoU Signing Ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor SHU, and Dr. Asim Qiqwai, Founder & CEO, AMTF. Registrar SHU Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib and Dr. Waqar Khalil, Deputy Director, Clinical Lab & Research, ATMF, also graced the ceremony with their presence, as did Mr. Mazhar Qasim, Senior Manager, Corporate Communication, ATMF.
