World Population Day, observed on July 11, is an annual occurrence that attempts to raise awareness of the rapidly rising global population and its drastic consequences.The main focus of this day is to bring to people’s attention the various global population issues we are currently facing, such as widespread poverty, breach of human rights, inaccessibility of health facilities, deteriorating reproductive health, gender-based inequities, and a lot more, and thus to highlight the importance of population management through family planning.
