Library Regulations
Standard Operating Procedures
- No student will be allowed to use the library facility without a valid ID card. Borrower cards are not transferable.
- Please maintain library discipline.
- Group discussions are no longer allowed on the 1st and 2nd floor.
- Group study facilities are available on the 3rd & 4th floors of the Tariq Amin Library to cater to students’ needs for group-study and discussions for assignments/projects.
- Do not use the hall for performing music groups or playing loud recorded music or videos. Clapping, shouting, and making loud noises is prohibited.
- Personal belongings should not be left unattended in the hall at any time; the library is not responsible for any loss.
- If any belongings are found in the hall, please contact the library circulation desk.
- Eating is strictly prohibited. Only water is allowed; no soft drinks, juices, or hot drinks.
- Library staff may ask anyone causing a disturbance to leave the library.
- For any dispute or problem, contact the Librarian.
- The library team is available to assist with resources, facilities, and services. Suggestions for better use of the library are welcomed.
Library membership could be suspended or cancelled along with a penalty in the following cases:
- Harassing or threatening behavior towards the library staff or fellow students.
- Using harsh or abusive language.
- Loitering or sleeping.
- Misconduct with library staff.
- Breach of established library rules and norms.
